This project was very delayed by COVID-19, but we completed and sold in November 2021 to our
selected homeowner, a single mother with an 11 year-old daughter and 8 year-old son.
Cole Avenue House
The first of two new homes being constructed on a lot at the corner of Cole Avenue and Maple Street in Williamstown. This home will have three bedrooms and twelve hundred square feet of living area. Once completed, we will build a second home on the adjoining lot.
We had hoped to complete this house in Fall 2020, but the COVID pandemic has slowed down our building schedule, first with a three month shutdown last spring and then with a reduction in the number of volunteers on site to accommodate COVID restrictions.
The exterior insulation and vinyl siding has been completed and the volunteer crew is progressing on interior work. We now hope to have the house completed in late spring or early summer 2021.
11/27/2019 at the Cole Ave Project
The trusses are up and braced. The boom truck arrived at 9:00 and by ten the trusses were sitting on the top plates ready to roll up. It was a lot of work, but thanks to Herm we erected the individual trusses by 1:00. All the trusses have been secured and will weather the wind on Thursday. We drove away just before the rain started.
Thank you to all the volunteers that participated in this critical task. - Paul Austin, Project Manager
